The lore

US Patent 6,485,963 B1 is not suppressed. It is publicly searchable, assigned to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, and describes a system for stimulating the growth of biological cells and tissue using electromagnetic fields. Inventors: David A. Wolf and Thomas J. Goodwin. Filed June 2, 2000. Issued November 26, 2002.

That one made it through.

Royal Rife's documentation did not fare as well. Rife was running frequency-based clinical work in San Diego in 1934 — sixteen terminal patients, fourteen reported recoveries, a write-up in the local press — and then the American Medical Association began a systematic campaign against him. His laboratory research was disputed, his colleagues were pressured, and by the time he died in 1971 the machines were gone and the records were contested.

The distance between the Wolf-Goodwin patent and the Rife archive is not a conspiracy. It is a demonstration of how the same underlying territory — electromagnetic field effects on biological tissue — produces two completely different institutional outcomes depending on who holds the application and what year it was filed.
